Moving safely around your home

HOW IT WORKS
Support starts with understanding how your day actually works
Personal care support is not one-size-fits-all. Before support begins, we take time to understand what matters to you, including how you prefer things done, what feels comfortable, what you want help with, and where you would like more independence.
We talk through your needs
We learn about your current supports, daily challenges, personal preferences, NDIS goals, and the times of day where support would make the biggest difference.
We plan support around your day
Together, we work out what support should look like, including when it happens, what tasks are involved, and how you would like your support worker to assist.
We keep things clear and consistent
As your needs change, we can review your support, adjust the schedule, and keep communication open with you, your family, or your support coordinator.
Your preferences guide the support
You can let us know things like:
what you prefer to do yourself
where you would like help
cultural or personal care preferences
preferred times for support
who should be included in communication
PERSONAL CARE, YOUR WAY
Support that protects your privacy, choices, and independence
Personal care can feel very personal, so the way support is provided matters. We take time to understand your preferences, your comfort level, and the parts of your routine you want to keep doing yourself.
Our role is to provide the right amount of help, without taking over more than needed.
Your preferences come first
You can tell us how you like things done, what support feels comfortable, and what you prefer to manage independently.
This support may relate to:
Assistance with daily personal activities
Personal care and self-care routines
Support to live more independently
Help at home or in the community
Regular, ongoing, or scheduled support
Support based on your NDIS goals and plan funding
NDIS SUPPORT
How Daily Personal Activities May Fit Your NDIS Plan
Daily Personal Activities support may be included in an NDIS plan when you need help with personal tasks because of your disability.
This type of support is often linked to everyday routines such as showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, moving safely around the home, and getting ready for the day.
At Beyond Limits Assistance, we can help you understand how your plan relates to personal care support and talk through the type of assistance that may suit your needs, goals, and routine.
NDIS funding can look different for each participant. If you are unsure whether your plan can be used for Daily Personal Activities, our team can talk through your situation and help you understand the next step.

Need Support With Daily Personal Routines?
Talk to Beyond Limits Assistance about Daily Personal Activities support that fits your needs, preferences, NDIS goals, and daily routine.
Whether you are enquiring for yourself, a family member, or someone you support, our team can help you understand the next step.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often from participants, families, and support coordinators.
Will I have the same support worker each time?
Yes, wherever possible. We work hard to match you with a support worker you click with, and to keep that worker assigned to your visits.
Personal care is private. The person helping you with showering, dressing, or toileting should feel familiar and trusted, not new every week. Same-worker continuity is one of the first things we set up at the start, and something we keep checking in on as your support continues.
If you’d rather work with someone different at any point, that’s your call. We’ll find another match.
Can I get help with showering, dressing, and personal hygiene?
Yes. Showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and continence support are all part of what our support workers provide. So is help with mobility, transfers, eating, and medication prompts.
The support is shaped around your routine. If you want a 30-minute hand in the morning, that works. If you want longer support across multiple parts of the day, that works too.
Can support be arranged around my routine?
Yes. We work mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends until 11pm. Most participants book regular times that fit their existing routine, like getting ready in the morning, before bed, or around mealtimes. We can adjust week to week if life shifts.
Support should fit your routine, not the other way around. That’s the starting point for every visit we plan with you.
Do you have Arabic-speaking support workers?
Yes. We have support workers who speak both Arabic and English, and we can match you with someone you feel comfortable communicating with from the start. Personal care is private. Being able to speak in the language you’re most at ease with matters.
Which part of my NDIS plan pays for personal care?
Personal care is funded under your Core Supports budget, specifically the Assistance with Daily Life support category. This is one of the most flexible parts of an NDIS plan and can usually be moved between related supports without a formal plan review.
You can read more about how Core Supports work on the NDIS website.
We work with self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants. If you’re not sure which applies to you, your plan documents or your support coordinator will say. The NDIS guide to management options is a good plain-English explainer.
Do you provide personal care in my suburb?
We’re based in Alexander Heights and support participants across Perth’s Northern Suburbs, including Landsdale, Ballajura, Koondoola, Girrawheen, Marangaroo, and Darch. We also take enquiries from nearby areas. If you’re unsure, give us a call. We’ll confirm coverage on the phone in a few minutes.
Make a referral if you’re a family member or support coordinator
The first conversation is free and unhurried. We talk through your situation, your NDIS plan, the routine you want supported, and the kind of worker you’d like matched. No commitment, and we’ll only move ahead if it feels like the right fit on both sides.
